Painting is a window I would like to reach inside.
One day I came across a wall in Paris that really captured my attention. I couldn't get it out of my mind for some reason. The wall had a kind
of textured surface—really rough, and topographical like a mountain range—and it was surrounded by a smooth, rectangular surface, like a frame. This wall was at a rear entrance to the National Archives Historic Center.
